Wk 4: Camera Use // Experimenting with Texture

Here's a few texture images from Monday's walk around Lovegrove Crescent:

Aperture: f / 4.5
Shutter Speed: 1/80
ISO: 100

Thoughts on this image: Here I enjoyed the mixture of leading lines, smoothness of the leaves and dried up quality of the brown dead leaves at the base.

Aperture: f / 5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/640
ISO: 125

Thoughts on this image: Potentially this image could be slightly under exposed and could use some editing in Camera Raw however I like the simplicity of the two different tones while the pattern stays the same.

Aperture: f / 5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/640
ISO: 200

Thoughts on this image: I'm not actually sure whether this is pattern or texture or both but the smoothness of the wall mixed with the vent give a nice contrast.

  1. Nice work Sarah! You have incorporated both texture and pattern and limited colour palette in this last image to create a really interesting photo.
