Exercise: Name things around you but experimenting with naming something different (e.g naming a building a pineapple etc).
In many ways this exercise just made me realize how little imagination I have! By the end I was able to see things ever so slightly differently. I was lucky enough to do this experiment while on retreat and so my brain was already in a different mood than the normal everyday zone. I'm not sure this exercise changed much for me but it did make me question my habits of doing things the same all the time.
I think you had some useful thinking around this exercise that could be applied to your photography practice in terms of experimentation.
